Private Escapes was created in November of 2003 as the “Sensible Luxury” choice for people who believed the destination club concept was ideal for their nomadic travel interests. Our belief then and now was that most members did not require large, extravagant 4,000 square feet residences for their resort escapes and neither were they prepared to invest the king‘s ransom required to join clubs that did. Membership in those clubs started at $275,000 and increased sharply from there, exceeding $400,000. Certainly there were buyers for those offerings but our commitment was to offer an alternative solution with a dedication to value and affordability. Member number one joined in December of 2003 and our first residence in Steamboat Springs was introduced at the same time. In fact, at that time, we playfully called ourselves "Private Escape" since Steamboat Springs was our one and only residence.

Fast forward to beginning of 2007, and Private Escapes now boasts over 300 members and 60 stunning residences throughout North America and the Caribbean, and Europe. We offer three distinct membership choices, the original Private Escapes Premiere, our next evolution, Private Escapes Platinum, and Private Escapes Pinnacle, our newest club membership. The club is growing sensibly and, in many cases, from referrals and recommendations from existing members who delight in their membership experience. We wouldn't have it any other way.

But when a leading third party research firm, PeopleMetrics, performs a comprehensive survey amongst our members and their independent findings state the following, "Private Escapes member loyalty is at a world class level of 96%", it is meaningful.
